Update: Validation

I've got some press coverage. I thought I'd share it with you. I was in fact charged under the protection from harassment order 1998. This was ostensibly introduced to protect people from stalkers. Suffice it to say that wasn't gonna fly in this case. This legislation has been consistently used to protect institutional power from accountability. The Belfast Holyland Fake Residents Group may not in itself have power, but it acts as a proxy for the cops and universities; thus my prosecution. Click to enlarge.

Good to see resources are being put to use well down there in the holylands. The place seems to be coming down with mad students, burglars, louts, and assorted vermin. What do the authorities do: take a blogger to court!

This would be funny if there wasn't a serious issue here: the authorities, and specifically the police, have failed miserably and were being embarrassed by this blog as it detailed the problem: or detailed endless incompetance, apathy and unprofessionalism. Then the police go and harrass and arrest someone who's highlighting their lack of interest in doing anything about the holylands. Very suspect indeed!

Hope you're taking them to the cleaners over it! Have you got anywhere with the Police Ombudsman or bringing legal proceedings?

Well done on your aquittal and your stand for the freedom of speech for the Bloggers! Maybe, just maybe your actions against the PSNI might create a situation whereby they receive proper police training to standards of the rest of the United Kingdonm Police Forces whereby they actually take action against people appropriate to their crime and that 'Student High jinx' will be given their correct titles of vandalism, anti-social behaviour, ciminal damage, GBH, ABH, Assault and Battery, threatening behaviour, violence, intimidation, racism, sectarianism!! The list is endless, these people should be charged, expelled and sent back to their Mummy and Daddy's in disgrace with criminal records. I have seen the PSNI watching situations and move on when it comes too near to them. Such unacceptable indifference would not be tolerated in any other police force but no-one makes the PSNI or the 'Students' accountable. Good luck Alan!!

I think the thug who attacked me will now be prosecuted. A letter finally arrived from the prosecution service telling me so. It got lost in the post, being redirected from my previous address. I'll speak to my solicitor to see what I'm free to say bearing in mind the matter is now sub judice.

Tell us, how would you continue the struggle in the holylands? The speed at which the situation continues to deteriorate seems to be faster than any of those nice solutions all seeming to involve:

a)tea and biscuits
b) Flip charts
c) nurturing feelings of self worth
d) soundbites and cliches
OR
e) agreeing to agree that something needs done, creating various leadership roles to establish this objective in a co-operative and mutually understanding environment. Liasing with the council, police, roads service, local scout troop, the tufty club, Jimmy Saville, Thunderbirds 1,2 and 3 and still getting FUCK ALLL DONE ABOUT IT!

Seriously people: enough of this horseshite, let's have some practical solutions added to the discussion

Will this blog be closing now that you are no longer a resident in the holylands? Also i see it said in one article that you are still a student? I thought you had failed and were kicked out of university?

I have not been "kicked out of university"

As for this blog, I hate to disappoint you, but I haven't gone away you know.

this blog tells a very one sided story of life in the holy lands, I know that we as students are far from perfect but am sure you can not disagree with me when I say residences of the holy lands are far for perfect too!!

am sure you look back into you past when you were 19 or 20 you would have got up to a lot worse than the student of the holy lands do!
